Acknowledgements
In the spirit of truth and reconciliation, Events East Group respectfully acknowledges that we are in Mi'kma'ki, the traditional land of the Mi'kmaq people. We also acknowledge the Peace & Friendship Treaties signed in this Territory and recognize that we are all Treaty People.
We acknowledge that people of African descent have been in Nova Scotia for over 400 years, and we honour and offer gratitude to those ancestors of African descent who came before us to this land.

By lifting local organizations and welcoming diverse groups and communities to our venue, the Halifax Convention Centre creates meaningful impact across the province and beyond. At the Convention Centre, community is at the heart of everything we do.
Bringing the World to Halifax
This year, we hosted 40 national and international conferences and events, exceeding our target of hosting 35 national and international events, bringing the world to Halifax and showcasing the excellence of our teams.
Building Allyship with Indigenous Events
This year, the Halifax Convention Centre welcomed major national events for Indigenous and First Nations peoples, including the 2023 North American Indigenous Games, building allyship within our organization and community.
A Lasting Legacy: The 2024 JUNOS
The 2024 JUNO Awards in Halifax was more than a week-long celebration of Canadian music and culture; it was our opportunity to build a lasting legacy for the local music industry while showcasing the best event experiences that we could offer.
Creating A More Accessible and Inclusive Centre
This year, Events East was proud to create policies and programs to make our Centre more accessible, including improvements to our built environment on our meaningful journey to being a more inclusive, welcoming space.
